A few years ago I camped out at 10,000 feet with a friend in Northern Colorado. He had a Elk permit, but I didn't so I just went along for fun. I took my camara and captured these amazing pictures below.

I didn't see any Elk, but I did see some nice Moose.

The second picture was our view from camp. We were the only ones out there in the middle of no where!
Camping at 10,000 feet without a tag is an experience unto itself. The altitude and the physical grind are something most people underestimate. Really captures what that kind of wilderness trip feels like.
